Coconut Macaroon Coconut Macaroon

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5 oz) Package Archway Coconut Macaroon Cookies
  • 2 (20 oz) boxes brownie mix
  • 4 large eggs 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF.
  2. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch metal baking pan.
  3. Coarsely chop macaroons.
  4. Combine brownie mix, eggs, butter, buttermilk, chocolate syrup and vanilla in a large bowl; stir until all ingredients are incorporated into a batter.
  5. Stir in chopped macaroons; spread into prepared pan.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with almonds, if desired.
  7. Bake about 50 minutes, or until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  8. Transfer to a wire rack; cool before slicing.
